A RazorGage RG3 can be used as a pusher or a stop and determining this, affects what length of stroke is required for your positioner. A pusher will produce parts faster but the initial cost will be more if there is a large difference between your incoming stock length and your longest finished part length. A pusher must be longer than the longest incoming stock, while a stop only needs to be as long as your longest finished part. For example, if your incoming stock is 28' but your longest finished part is only 8' then you would need a 30' RazorGage to push and only an 8' to use as a stop. Big price difference. If your incoming stock is 30' and your longest finished part length is 28' then there would be very little difference in price between a pusher and a stop.

If you have, or will have, rollers for your table and the RazorGage is to be used as a pusher, you may want to consider a Gripper so that the material doesn't roll away from the pusher upon deceleration. The Gripper only works on hollow extrusions or solid material that has a "fin" like feature on which the Gripper can grip.
